About Tweeted Ranks

Tweeted Ranks is a small, free website for people who run small websites: a bakery, a local trades business, a hobby blog, a one-person shop. It has two parts. The rank log on the home page lets you record the Google positions you see for your keywords and draws a trend line for each one. The guides explain where those numbers come from and what to do with them.

Why it works the way it does

Most rank trackers send automated queries to Google from servers and resell the results. That makes sense for agencies watching thousands of keywords. For a site with fifteen keywords that matter, it adds cost and a false sense of precision, since a single automated check is still just one search from one place.

So the log does something plainer. You type in the number you saw, either from your own search or, better, from the average position in Google Search Console. The log keeps the history, shows which way each keyword is moving and lets you export everything as a CSV file. It never contacts Google, and nothing you enter is sent to us. Your data lives in your browser until you export it.

The name comes from an idea that has been around since the early days of Twitter: getting your rankings as short, regular updates. The "share my progress" box keeps a version of that. It turns your log into a short post you can copy or open in X's own composer, and it is entirely optional.

The guides are written and maintained by the Tweeted Ranks Team. We check how Google's tools currently name and present things before we publish, and we update guides when the tools change. If you spot something out of date, please tell us.

This website was relaunched in 2026 under new, independent management. It has no connection to earlier owners of the tweetedranks.com domain or to anything previously published at this address.
